Mickey was not only our pet but was my best friend.
I would take him for a walk as often as i could when he was younger. Then in 2002 i was taken seriously ill and had to give up work, but as i was still mobile i was able to take mickey out a few times a day and he knew that i could not walk as far as we used to so he would just stay in the vicinity of our home and when he knew that i was feeling ill he would then walk back towards home. he would often lay on my lap as we felt a close bond towards each other and when strangers came to the house he would sit at my feet and would not let any one come near me. In late september of this year his health started to deteriorate but he put on a brave front and kept going just to please me. I knew he was getting old as when a dog reaches 17 years plus he is in actual fact over a hundred. Mickey started having siezures earlier on this year but we managed to keep him going for as long as we could but by mid October we felt that it would be kinder to let him rest. We took Mickey to the vet on Thursday the 23rd of October and he agreed that mickey would be better if he went to sleep, Mickey was put to sleep at six thirty. Although it broke our hearts we knew he would be with us as we asked for his ashes to be returned to us, Mickey now sits next to his picture where we can keep a close eye on him.

Felix's Passing

today i have sorrowful news. Felix your companion for many years lost his fight for life last night. He had a stomach tumour which was in operable and therefore he was put to rest. We hope that you will meet up and become good friends as you both were when you were with us.
Give felix your guidance in the next life and i will come to see your memorial soon.

Third Anniversary

It is now three years since your demise and this tribute is to let you know we still think and care about you. I know we have Jethro now and he is a good dog but you must know that he is not you. We love and miss you now as much as we did when you were taken from us and we still have heavy hearts over your passing.

I have been unwell now for the past nine years and you were there to protect me when i was vunerable. We just wanted to send you this christmas wish and to tell you that My son Kevin became a dad on the 12th November and his girlfriend gave birth to a little boy who they named Oliver Stephen Harris and he looks just like his dad but did not have curl ginger hair like his dad.
Although our new dog Jethro is becoming a very good dog he still has a lot to come closew to you, i just wish you were still with to see Oliver as i am sure you would be like jethro and want to protect the baby.
